Everybody loves The Daily Show. At least, those who don't are of no consequence and therefore dead to me.

At any rate, Dimitri Martin's Trendspotting segment finally focused on social networking websites, mainly on Myspace, this past February 15th. Thanks to the miracle of Google Video, we can legally watch the clip over and over again… not because Google asked permission, but because Google is all-powerful and need not worry about puny copyright violations.

Just watch the clip. And laugh. You are ordered to laugh.

Have you noticed your screen real-estate shrinking?

Years ago, networks began placing their network IDs as digital on-screen graphics, nicknamed "bugs", small watermark logos that often appear in the lower right-hand corner of the television broadcast. These began as innocuous, only mildly obtrusive logo watermarks which popped up infrequently during broadcasts to remind viewers which network they were viewing. Lately, we've had an overweight, aged, balding black man come in who a customer called schizophrenic. I don't know much about psychology, but what I do know is, he was talking–no, arguing with himself. Continue reading

You've heard all the jokes stemming from the "I wish I knew how to quit you" trailer for Brokeback Mountain–In fact, if you know me, you've heard some of them from me. Now, someone has done an incredibly good job piecing together scences from Back to the Future films into a hillarious tralier for a gay love story called Brokeback to the Future. Prepare for 90 seconds of funny.

MSNBC vs. FOX News (video)

In a performance easily on par with anything we've ever seen on The Daily Show, MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann absolutely puts the smackdown on Bill O'Reilly and FOX News. And to think, it's not Comedy Central programming, it's a real, live network news show! Brilliant!
